Board Manual Adoption Resolution

Dear Colleagues & Staff,

Please review this resolution I am proposing for adoption.

Whereas, Strategic HFC is committed to creating a high-performance culture for its Board of Directors, and

Whereas, creation of an official Board of Directors Manual is an accepted best practice of high-performing organizations in the public and social sectors,

Now Therefore, Be it resolved that the Strategic HFC Board of Directors accepts Appendix A as its official Board of Directors Manual.

Further resolved, the Strategic HFC Board of Directors requests that the Executive Director place the manual in a reasonable, easy-to-find location on the organization’s website.

I fully support this Resolution. The adoption of this Board Manual marks significant progress for the SHFC Board, and represents a much needed improvement in setting clear guidelines for each of us as Directors re: what our role is and how to fulfill our responsibilities. Much thanks to our Chair for bringing this to completion!
